Since most of our pilots are employed full-time, we know the experience and abilities of the pilot we are sending on your project. Matching pilot skills to specific job requirements gives clients the best of our pilot abilities. Expedition Helicopters Inc. is an established helicopter service provider who has been growing steadily since first beginning operations in May of 1999. Expedition is a 702 aerial work, 703 aerial taxi Day VFR commercial helicopter operator specializing in remote bush operations and mining exploration.

From our main base in Cochrane Ontario, and satellite offices in Moosonee/Moose Factory, Hearst, Thunder Bay, Roquemaure (Quebec), and Thompson (Manitoba), we currently operate a diverse fleet of helicopters consisting of:

Expedition Helicopters maintenance division

We have been a Transport Canada Approved Aircraft Maintenance Organization (AMO# 40-04) for over a decade. Led by our experienced Director of Maintenance, Shop Foreman and Quality Assurance Manager, our exceptional maintenance team is made up of over twenty licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers and Apprentices.

Whether in our state of the art hangar facilities, or in the field, Expedition’s maintenance staff adheres to a strict maintenance regime and performs all regular maintenance and inspections in accordance with CARS 573.02 Expedition also performs 3rd party maintenance, now offering other operators the same prompt and efficient maintenance that Expedition is recognized for.

With the help of our modern computerized inventory tracking system (AMS) and our extensive quality assurance program, Expedition has become an industry leader in the introduction of the safety maintenance systems. Our system is validated by Transport Canada and it consists of numerous annual and bi-annual in-house audits. These audits are to ensure that all CARS, company and safety policies and procedures are being followed at all times. This continuous auditing allows us to be proactive, constantly improving and perfecting our organization.

As such, we are confident to say that we provide our clients with a dispatch reliability rating of 95%.
